Lakewood High School’s Barnstormers will be performing the drama Searching for David’s Heart on January 30, January 31, and February 1.
The play Searching for David’s Heart is called “heartwarming” by critics, and follows the path of a girl named Darcy as she tries to find her deceased brother’s heart, which had been donated. Her and her brother David had gotten in a fight before he died, and she feels like finding the person who now posses his heart will give her closure and help her finally find peace with herself. The well-structured screenplay is sure to keep the audience on the edge of their seats and on board for the whole ride.
Along with being a fantastic performance, Searching for David’s Heart will also be the last play that will occur on the Tryout Theater stage. The beloved Tryout Theater, which has been the home to dozens of high school plays, is scheduled to be knocked down with the rest of the old building this summer, and will be missed by all Barnstormers and play audiences alike.
Come witness the touching story of Searching for David’s Heart in the Tryout Theater this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for an experience that will stay with you. The show will start at 7:30. Tickets are $4 presale and $5 at the door.
