This past Monday the Physics’s Carboard Boat Regatta was supposed to be featured on Fox 8’s “Kickin’ it with Kenny” segment. However, Kenny Crumpton, the show’s host, was sick the day the show was supposed to air. The segment was cancelled, but not rescheduled at the time. Kenny is now back in the office and is scheduled to record the segment this Monday. The recording is scheduled to begin at 6:30 A.M. this coming Monday, March 9, 2015. It will air in Fox’s morning broadcasts that day.
This broadcast provides 18 groups of students the opportunity to float their boat across the water. This is welcomed news for many, because according to Physics teacher Dave Hille, this year had the worst success rate in the event’s history. However as long as a boat was present students got 130 out of 250 points for that part of the project. One group had a member show up late and one group had an illegally made boat, disqualifying them from the event.
