This week, Democratic Presidential candidate from Vermont won the Wisconsin Primary of Hilary Clinton. It is the seventh out of eight states that Sanders has gotten a victory over the former President Bill Clinton’s wife.

Sanders last month won the Michigan Primary over Clinton, which was a huge upset after Clinton was favored to hugely win the state by almost every poll. Yet Sanders won the state. Some may ask how is he doing it?

Sanders is campaigning on a “Political Revolution”, in which he will bring down the big banks and super-pacs that are “running our country”.  All of the money that Senator Sanders has received so far in the race has been from individual donations. Sanders is not taking any money from the corrupt super-pacs because he knows that he actually wants to make change in our country and not have obligations to favor huge corporations.

Sanders is also campaigning on the possibility of gaining free college. He aims at raising taxes on the rich to be able to fund free college tuitions for students, so that by the time we are out of college, we won’t be showered down in debt.

Finally Sanders is also campaigning on equal rights for all minority groups. Sanders has shown a dedication to civil rights, as he even fought for civil rights during the 1960’s during the Civil Rights movement.

One of the reasons Sanders might also be gaining ground on CLinton is how he interacts with the public. Clinton is thought to be a little bit boring of a speaker. However, Senator Sanders is a very engaging speaker, who connects well to younger people, unlike Clinton.

In the next few months leading up to the Democratic Convention is Philadelphia, it will be interesting to see how close the race between Clinton and Sanders gets.
