The French, Latin, and Spanish classes represented themselves and the culture of their countries very well. The Latin students made a pig. The Spanish and French students made food for visitors to taste. Unfortunately, Heir Sent has been absent for awhile, so the German students could not participate in the program this year. French made Crêpe with Nutella in it! The upper level French students ran games that taught basic words to people who wanted to learn some French. The level one French students made posters, videos, and make the Crêpe. They also helped Mr. Heslep edit the videos!
The videos just mentioned were students of all three languages telling everyone why they like their language and what they learned that has had the most impact on their lives. Two of the games the French students had for the kids were Mancala and D. Board Games.
Spanish students made a bunch of food like cookies, brownies, cupcakes, rice, and many more! Latin had students dancing to Latino music with other students and with people who wanted to learn how to dance! They also made lots of food such as tractogalatae, pavonis cerebrum, and crustula.
The Foreign Language classes sure left a great impression- hopefully they can somehow make next year’s event even better!
