This past Wednesday,  police warned Shaker Heights, Ohio residents about wild packs of dogs that are attacking people after the last two attacks that happened.

“I heard some kind of screaming or wailing from across the street and we walked down and she was frightened,” said Paul Sanders, who was with his dog trying to go for a walk Wednesday morning. The pack of dogs had attacked a deer and put it completely down around around 5:oo O’clock.”It was a little dark out, but I I knew it was a deer down there, and something was attacking it, two or three things, I didn’t know if it was coyotes or what. I yelled let’s get in. It must’ve spooked them because they started running, three of them and the deer was just lying there. We came and called the police ,said Paul.”When the police finally arrived the dogs came up to them which was weird but they turned away once they shined there lights in there faces. At 7:40 a.m., the dogs approach a woman down the street at a train station near Kenmore Road and Van Aken Boulevard.

When the police arrived to this situation, the dogs became very aggressive which gave the police no choice but to shoot the dog and that killed one of the 3 dogs. After killing the one dog the other 2 ran away.

Police and Animal control have been trying to locate dogs since this morning. There haven’t been any more reported attacks, but police say someone may have witnessed the two dogs near the Scottsdale Boulevard area in Cleveland.

Police describe the dogs as one black, one brown, both medium sized. They are asking people to not to approach the dogs but to call police. While it may be an instinct to try to help loose dogs, police say residents should not try to approach the animals, as they may be aggressive.
