On January 18th, a recognized holiday, the United States celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. day. This day is celebrated on every third Monday of January every year marking this American’s birthday. The significance of this moment in history is to honor the man who left a legacy by bringing hope and healing to America.
As of this day, some school districts do not have school for the celebrations, places are free of admission for certain hours, speeches and lectures are available to anyone with interests in libraries or some halls. Activities are for anyone of no certain age, and the nice thing about it – you can do it with a friend or alone!
Some events that have no admission and are free for certain amount of hours, that you maybe interested in are-
The Cleveland Museum of Natural History, it opens up at ten in the morning to four in the afternoon. Learn another thing about history through the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage which is only free from eleven in the morning to five in the afternoon.
Next, there is the Great Lakes Science Center which opens at ten am till six in the evening. Or you can go the aquarium for a discounted price and view all the water animals while capturing pictures and enjoying this day.
For the younger audience, siblings or cousins and neighborhood friends (all ages), on this Monday Cleveland has Fun Day at the Cleveland Metroparks from ten to four in the afternoon.
