As many of you know, the AP exams are scheduled for May 6 10 for Week One and  May 13 -15 for Week Two.

Students were required to pay a $15 deposit per exam by March 27. The remainder of the fee is due by April24. Students are required to show up for their exam no later than thirty minutes early. 7:30 a.m. for the morning exams. 11:30 for the afternoon exams.

You are allowed to bring food and drink with you for the ten minute break, but neither food nor beverages are allowed in the testing room.

Many teachers are preparing their students for their exams. Mrs. Lewis is preparing her students by giving them practice AP exams and having them do assignments similar to what they would be on the exam in their Language of Composition book.

If you do well on the exam, you may earn college credit for the course. However f you do not take the exam, you will not receive the college credit.

The multiple choice of the exam is scored by a computer. The free-response section is scored at the annual AP Reading held during the first two weeks in June. College professors and experienced AP teachers from across the country come together to read and score the free-response answers.

The total scores from the free-response section and the multiple-choice section are combined to form a composite score. Your final or composite score can range from five to one. A score of five equals an extremely well qualified result. If you get a four, well-qualified is your score. A three means qualified, two’s are possibly qualified, and 1′s are scored as no recommendation.
