This upcoming Saturday is the annual Lakewood Ranger Marching Band YMCA Lock-In! Last year was the first time it was done, but it seems like it is becoming a LRMB tradition–much to the band members’ happiness.
This year, though, the new incoming members are being invited to join the band for the first couple hours of the lock-in so they can have a chance to meet the band with a warm welcome. They will be able to join the older members in plenty of activities and fun!
The lock-in is a fun time for the band, as it includes so many things to do. People are welcomed to swim, play games, join in on Just Dance, and many other things. Last year, the band took part in a full member dodge ball game–proving to be very fun, eventful, and competitive.
The lock-in is basically a contest of who can stay up the longest; some pull all-nighters, while others get too tired out and end up falling asleep. Whether you stay up all night or not, it is a guarantee that you will have lots of fun.
Events like this, help make the band closer and better as a whole. The lock-in is sure to be filled with fun this year, just as it was last year!
