Farwell to Another Lakewood School

Many of the Lakewood City Schools are experiencing renovations, or being torn down all together. Lincoln Elementary is yet another elementary school with this fate, and is already in the process of being torn down. Our school, LHS, will soon be following in Lincoln’s footsteps. Grant Elementary and Roosevelt Elementary are also supposed to undergo construction in the near future. Plenty of schools with be brand new in the next few years which is very exciting!

Lincoln Elementary is offering a one-day only offer for people to come pick up a souvenir to remember their elementary school days. On February 14th, Valentines Day, you can head over to Lincoln and purchase a brick from the wall of Lincoln Elementary. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. you can purchase bricks for ten dollars each, located in the parking lot behind Lincoln Elementary. All of the proceeds from the brick purchases will benefit the Lakewood City Schools and its students.

There will be no special orders or reservations, however there will be plenty for everyone. Cash and credit are both accepted as forms of payment as well. Brick sales for Roosevelt and Grant will also be announced in the near future. Preserve memories of the early days by purchasing a brick and contributing to the Lakewood City School District!
