The Lakewood Ranger Marching Band’s last halftime show of the season might seem like a same-old band show but the show is the most important one of the year for the senior class. The entire show is created by the senior class. The seniors pick their favorite songs from the past four years and combine them into one show. The songs are chosen from a popular vote among the musicians, Rangerettes and Flags.

The Band will have two weeks to prepare to make the whole show perfect. The seniors also create the formations for the show. The seniors chose one song from freshman year, one from sophomore year, and one from junior year to complete the show.

The whole week before senior show is important to the seniors. The band will go through their last practice of the year together to prepare for the last show. The day before the game, the seniors will proudly wear their class of 2014 T-shirts. Then, the day of the game, the seniors get to dress up and wear a senior flower for the school. And finally, after the final morning practice, after the final pregame get together, the seniors march into the stadium for the last time and get introduced on the field with their parents during the pregame show.

The hardest part leading up to senior show is the seniors saying goodbye to marching band and closing a chapter in their lives. The senior class of 2014 has gone through so many ups and downs in four years. Fours years of football games, trips and good friends all goes out with a bang with senior show.
