Dave Hille and Jennifer Zaremba, physics teachers, held their annual roller coaster open-house on May 28th.
Physics students were to create a roller coaster that had two hills, the second 50% higher than the first. Also the coasters had to include twists and turns, and even some loop-da-loops.
Senior Grace Yousefi and her team including seniors Rachel Ritter, Lilly Polack and junior Nora Varcho used a decks of card. Yousefi said, ” Well, I thought of magic and then Alice in Wonderland just came to us,” describing how they came up with the Wonderland theme.
Senior Zach Gilchrest said, “We just used wrapping paper tubes and a whole lot of duct tape! We did end up panting it silver to give it a cool look.”
