Tuesday, April 23rd seniors had an assembly about commencement. The students were told about cap and gowns and how to make smart decisions at prom.
Most importantly the senior class had the chance to vote for two commencement speakers to speak at their graduation ceremony.
Five students took the stage as they read their commencement speeches. Sabrina Suleiman, Frannie Grauel, Grace Lazos, Heather DeJesus, and Amira Nosrallah all did a fantastic job as they took the stage to win the privilege of representing our class during the graduation ceremony.
“I really thought everyone did a great job, but to me Frannie Grauel and Amira Nosrallah had really strong speeches. They had really strong feelings and believed in their speeches deeply. You could tell because of how passionate they were on stage reading their speeches,” said senior Rachel Corder.
An announcement was made on Wednesday May, 1st that the winners are Frannie Grauel and Amira Nasrallah.
