This year, LHS’s winter formal theme is “Winter Wonderland.” Fitting for the polar vortex that has taken over Cleveland in the last few months.
The dance is on Saturday, February 28th from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm. It will take place in the Harding Middle School gym. Forms and ticket money are due by Thursday Feb. 26. Tickets are $15 until Tuesday, Feb. 24 when the price will increase to $20. Make sure to pick up forms outside the book-room!
At the dance, there are a few requirements. You MUST have a photo ID to get into the dance. You cannot have too many problems with the administration (ISA, OSS, low attendance, poor behavior). Possession and use of drugs and alcohol are also illegal before and during the dance.
The dress code for the night is semi-formal. Similar to that of homecoming. Girls are expected to wear appropriate, formal dresses while boys are expecting to be wearing nice dress pants, a button-down shirt and tie. Dresses “should fit properly, be modest and be in good taste.” Belts are also required for boys wanting to attend the dance.
The night is sure to be filled with fun, including a promising playlist and a-list guests. The winter dance is also a big fundraiser for the Senior class prom so please, buy a ticket and attend to insure an amazing prom! Underclassmen may think that this senior fundraiser doesn’t apply to them but as they have displayed a GREAT interest to attend our prom- it does apply.
We encourage anyone who’s anyone to come and party it up on the dance floor next Saturday at Harding. It’ll be tons of fun!
